Nabawi Academy of Hijama Therapy-(N.A.H.T) ; was founded in 2011 by Dr. M. I. Mughal. Since its establishment, Dr. Mughal and his team have provided hijama/cupping therapy courses nationally and internationally.

What is Hijama/Al-Hijama?
Hijama, or Al-Hijamah (Cupping Therapy), is a Sunnah and a treatment endorsed by Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h). The term “Hijama” comes from the Arabic root word “Hajam,” which means suction, hence its association with cupping. Similar to the widely known Chinese practice of acupuncture, which uses needles at specific points on the body known as meridians to treat various health conditions, Hijama also focuses on specific points for therapeutic purposes. These cupping points in Hijama closely resemble those used in traditional Chinese medicine (T.C.M) cupping therapy. Hijama therapy is widely practised across many countries and is also part of the curriculum in several prestigious medical universities and colleges, where it is taught with an accredited qualification. The primary goal of cupping therapy in Hijama is to remove stagnation or blockages from the body’s energy channels, which are often linked to various ailments.
